Adopt a Graduate

The “Adopt a Graduate” Foundation was established by Rachel Bargad in 2022 with the goal of supporting graduates of youth villages and boarding schools as they transition into independent adult life.
The foundation assists these young adults during their first steps into independence, providing financial, emotional, therapeutic, and educational support.

For many young people, graduation is a new beginning. But for those leaving youth villages or boarding schools, it can feel like stepping off a cliff. After years in a safe, supportive environment, they face life alone - without family, community, or real financial support. Some government aid exists, yet most must navigate adulthood on their own, just when they most need guidance to build an independent future.

Our support covers education through scholarships, tuition, and psychometric prep; housing and rent assistance; medical care; and essential equipment for soldiers and National Service volunteers. We also help with driving lessons, pre-academic programs or yeshiva, small business launches, weddings, and maternity needs. To ease their path forward, we provide financial aid, debt relief, psychological care, and career guidance.
